New Salsa On2 Classes

The Pros of Learning How to Dance On2:

1. You will become a more proficient, confident and versatile dancer.
2. Knowing more styles of dance enables you to dance with more people.
3. You to learn and experience new ways of moving/ feeling the music.
4. Your chances for enjoying "a good dance" automatically increase.

By not attempting to learn dancing Salsa On2 simply equates to having less dances, which decreases one's chances for that "one dance", which completes your night, to take place!

David B Stein, my Best Friend and Director of Majesty In Motion Dance Company, told me once over 7 years: "Trust me Juan! You want to learn how to dance On2". I replied: "Why? Only about ten people dance On2 here in San Diego". Today, that is no longer the case. A high percentage of today's social dancers dance "On2". Many also dance "On1", while some are proficient at both styles.

Being able to dance "On2". assuming you can already dance "On1", will make you a better dancer.  You will increase your musical intelligence to know how to find the one beat or the two beat.  Also you will, at the same time, coordinate your body to mold itself to the rhythm of the Mambo.

Today I'm glad I followed David's advice. Learning and understanding both styles enabled me to excel as a dancer. Come learn yourself today!! Learn and become proficient at both styles. This will impress other dancers by reflecting your capabilities of accommodating to their choice of dance style.

Beginner Class @ 7:30pm:

Learn the basic steps to dancing salsa “On2”.  Class begins with a warm-up and review of basic footwork and then goes over the technique behind basic salsa patterns that will build the foundation for your salsa dancing.

Class is intended to perfect the basics and build a strong foundation that will enable you to feel comfortable, confident and dance with ease. Here you will learn fundamental dance moves of Salsa, while also gain tips to properly lead/follow them and become skilled at linking them together into patterned sequences. Clearly understanding these patterns and of the basics will prepare you for the Intermediate Progressive class.

Intermediate Class @ 8:30pm:

Are you already an On2 dancer and looking for extra practice time? More dance patterns? Styling? Or perhaps more attention-to-detail tips to take your On2 dancing to the next level? Then this is the class for you too!! 

Even if you’re a proficient dancer, or member of a dance team, this class will offer a great deal of material to learn from considering Juan’s extended detailed knowledge of the On2 style.

You must have a solid understanding of the basics to keep-up in this class.  You will learn how to put a twist on the basic steps to create smooth salsa patterns.  Men will learn masculine movements from Juan as well as tips and tricks to leading the ladies properly.  Ladies will also get some tips on ladies styling techniques and hand and arm styling and will also learn how to add sexy styling to the pattern learned in class.
